Genetics allow a range, not one identical result
Plants grown from the same genetic line can express slightly different traits. This is often described as phenotype variation. Structure, colour and aroma emphasis may shift while the flower still belongs to the same named strain.
A strain profile should therefore be read as a useful range of characteristics rather than a promise that every flower will look identical to one photograph.
Harvest timing and post-harvest care matter
The point of harvest, drying pace, curing period and later handling can all influence texture and aroma. These steps do not change the strain name, but they shape how a particular batch presents itself.
After preparation, exposure to heat, air, light and moisture continues to affect freshness. This is why storage is part of the quality story rather than an unrelated detail.
Why availability changes
Flower is released in finite batches. A popular strain may sell through before the next harvest is ready, and a new batch may arrive with slightly different visual or aromatic emphasis. A live menu or a message to the store is more reliable than assuming an older list is still current.
